ENGL 103 English Essentials - 4 credits
Organized around a theme, this course concentrates on essential communication skills; listening, reading, writing, and speaking.

 

ENGL 104 English for Careers - 3 credits
The study and practice of Standard English emphasizing business, professional, and technical communications:  grammar and mechanics, vocabulary, spelling, proofreading; practical applications focusing on "real world" usage.

 

COMM 106 Speech - 3 credits
A foundation for skills in formal and informal speaking situations; includes materials selection and organization, delivery, critical listening evaluation.

 

ENGL 110 Composition - 3 credits
The study and practice of the communication process emphasizing written material; includes writing competencies, writing as a process, writing for problem solving, research writing and information gathering.  Selected readings.

 

ENGL 120 Composition II - 3 credits

 

ENGL 204 Technical Writing - 3 credits
(prerequisite COMM 103 or 104 or instructor approval)
Practical application in technical communications; includes informational, analytical and persuasive reports.
